He says, "As I approach prom season again, I can't get the story of Nikki Kellenyi out of my head." So he is doing something about it. WHY WE WALK
We are walking this year in memory of our beautiful Toni Donato and her baby RJ Donato-Bolis, who was due to be born in two days Toni and her unborn child were killed by a distracted driver who was looking at his GPS. The distracted driver crossed the middle of the two lane road, head on into Toni. Our walk this year is dedicated to Toni, RJ and to the charity that was formed in their memory, The Toni Donato-Bolis & Baby RJ Foundation.
The Donatos & Bolis's world, like thousands of other families affected by distracted driving was changed forever. Toni was a young beautiful girl with a bright future, her whole life ahead of her, ready to give birth to RJ in two days. Toni will always be their beautiful mom/daughter/sister and they have so many wonderful memories. But they should be making new memories everyday instead of tears. Our goal is to walk, run and sprint, so you don’t have to live their nightmare. If you have ever sent a text, read and email, sent a tweet, read a map or know some type of distraction almost caused a crash, show your support so a tragedy like this doesn't effect you.
