The Atlantic City Press recently ran an article in which Miss New Jersey stated "She and Mike Kellenyi, of Washington Township later formed Nikki's Foundation, People Against Distracted Driving." This statement was misquoted by the press. Nikki's Foundation, PADD, was founded by Mike Kellenyi and his wife Gina, Nikki's parents, in hopes to help and support victims of distracted driving and to educate society about the dangers of driving distracted.
The statement made in the press would lead you to believe that Mr. Kellenyi and Ms. Giannini created PADD when in fact it was solely Mr. and Mrs. Kellenyi.
After Nikki's death Mr. and Mrs. Kellenyi could not return to work for over three months. Standing over their daughters grave a month after the crash the two grieving parents decided to help other families in their situation and formed their non-profit.Read more...

Distracted driving is defined as anything that takes your eyes and or mind off of the primary task of driving. We have heard so many people say that they can safely multitask while driving a car. Nikki's Foundation - People Against Distracted Driving is a non-profit organization. All donations go towards our ongoing efforts to end distracted driving.
Currently, we are donating "Stay Alive Don't Text and Drive" signs to schools and towns installing them along significant roadsides, billboards, businesses and in school exits, park exits and anywhere that they will impact motorists.
In addition, we are working to spread the awareness of the dangers of distracted driving, providing support for the families affected by such tragedies, and passing new laws to educate motorists, for stricter enforcement and punishment of distracted-driving-related offenses and working with schools to educate children of this new epidemic.
We appreciate any amount of contribution you can make. Your aid is invaluable and helps to keep the movement running!
