The Venturinis are directly responsible for PADD® and our Stay Alive Don't Text And Drive sign campaign reaching ten of the seventeen states our signs are now in. About Venturini Motorsports
The Venturini name is synonymous with modern-day racing in America. The legacy was born over six decades ago when Tony Venturini began racing stock cars in the 1950's at historic Soldiers Field in Chicago, Illinois. Tony, considered one of the early pioneers of the sport, competed with legendary NASCAR drivers, such as 'Tiger' Tom Pistone and Freddy Lorenzen.
In 2012, Venturini Motorsports celebrated its 30th Anniversary in the ARCA Racing Series, thus making them the longest tenured team competing in the series' illustrious 60-year history; an impressive feat accomplished by few in all of professional motorsports. Adding further to the team's legacy, Venturini Motorsports and Family celebrated 2012 with a stellar year of success highlighted by their induction into the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (NIASHF). This prestigious recognition is reserved for Italian American sports figures that have excelled while positively impacting and contributing to their respected sport at the highest level of competition.

The Atlantic City Press recently ran an article in which Miss New Jersey stated "She and Mike Kellenyi, of Washington Township later formed Nikki's Foundation, People Against Distracted Driving." This statement was misquoted by the press. Nikki's Foundation, PADD, was founded by Mike Kellenyi and his wife Gina, Nikki's parents, in hopes to help and support victims of distracted driving and to educate society about the dangers of driving distracted.
The statement made in the press would lead you to believe that Mr. Kellenyi and Ms. Giannini created PADD when in fact it was solely Mr. and Mrs. Kellenyi.
After Nikki's death Mr. and Mrs. Kellenyi could not return to work for over three months. Standing over their daughters grave a month after the crash the two grieving parents decided to help other families in their situation and formed their non-profit.Read more...
Distracted driving is the number one killer of teens in America but it's victims range from infants to senior citizens. Distracted driving is defined as anything that takes your eyes and or mind off of the primary task of driving. We have heard so many people say that they can safely multitask while driving a car. Can you multitask safely? How about eating and drinking? Surely that is a simple task to do while driving, everyone has eaten a burger, drank a soda or ate a bag of potatoe chips while driving.
Tricia (Kellaway) Hess, a 62 year old mother of two beautiful daughters was on her way to volunteer her time to help others on a beautiful sunny afternoon in Brockton, Massachusets. While waiting to make a left turn a van carrying a dangerous weapon was heading her way.Read more...

Three years ago today Gina and Mike Kellenyi stood over the grave of their 18 yr old daughter praying that no other parent would loose a child at the hands of an irresponsible driver. They needed to talk to someone about this epidemic, about their loss, why it happened, what to do next, yet there was no such organization. To end distracted driving they knew they needed something like Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Together they decided to create People Against Distracted Driving to help other families in the same situation and to educate society about the dangers of driving distracted.
The founding board members (Mike Kellenyi, Tom Spracio, Larry LaVerde, John Radetich, Jim and Cathy Beamer, Mike Davey and Jim Donahue) met twice a month for the first year building the foundation for what would become the MADD of the twenty first century. This team made it possible for the impossible to happen. Here are a few of our acheivements.Read more...

In addition, we are working to spread the awareness of the dangers of distracted driving, providing support for the families affected by such tragedies, and passing new laws to educate motorists, for stricter enforcement and punishment of distracted-driving-related offenses and working with schools to educate children of this new epidemic.
We appreciate any amount of contribution you can make. Your aid is invaluable and helps to keep the movement running!
